Local Stirling MP, Steven Paterson, will be standing for re-election to Westminster in the forthcoming General Election on June 8th, the Scottish National Party confirmed on Saturday.
From Cambusbarron, Mr Paterson attended Stirling High School as well as the University of Stirling and has worked in the local tourism sector. He was elected to represent the Stirling East Ward on Stirling Council in 2007 before being elected to Westminster in 2015 with a majority of 10,480.
Stirling MP Steven Paterson has welcomed the latest figures showing visitor attractions in Scotland booming, up nearly 16% on last year.
The figures, published by ALVA (Association of Leading Visitor Attractions), include Stirling Castle as the top attraction outside of Glasgow and Edinburgh, attracting over 480,000 visitors in the year.
