Stirling MP Steven Paterson is to meet with Scotland Office Minister Lord Dunlop to push the UK Government to commit to a City Deal for Stirling.
Mr Paterson has raised the issue several times in Parliament and has written to the Secretary of State for Scotland.
Lord Dunlop’s office has since agreed to meet with Mr Paterson to discuss the business case for investment in Stirling.
Steven Paterson commented:
“It is encouraging to see that the UK Government is willing to listen to the business case for a Stirling City Deal and I look forward to a constructive discussion with Lord Dunlop. A City Deal for Stirling could be a great opportunity for tourism, businesses, and jobs across the Stirling area.”
