Steven Paterson MP SNP member of Parliament for Stirling

Steven Paterson, newly elected Member of Parliament for the Stirling Constituency, has announced that he will be stepping down from his role as Councillor for the Stirling East ward on Stirling Council. He has also confirmed that all Councillor wages paid since his election as MP will be donated to charitable causes in the Stirling constituency.

Commenting, Mr. Paterson said: “It has been a privilege to serve the people of the Stirling East ward on Stirling Council since I was first elected in 2007, and I want to thank all those I have worked with in that role over this period. I look forward to continuing to work hard for the people of the Stirling East ward, and for constituents across the Stirling area, in my new role as Member of Parliament for the Stirling Constituency.
