Local Stirling West candidate Morag Fulton has taken her story to national SNP Conference at the weekend to encourage other disabled members to put themselves forward for elected office.
During the last meeting of the full Council, SNP Councillor Alasdair MacPherson raised the issue of disabled access into Stirling Council buildings. In his question, Councillor MacPherson referenced a wheelchair user who is standing in Stirling West ward in the forthcoming Stirling Council election.
The Scottish National Party have this week announced their candidates for Stirling North and Stirling West.
This year, voters will return to polling stations to elect a new Administration to run Stirling Council’s local services. Currently, the local authority is run by a Tory/Labour coalition.
