Following the recent resignation of David Devenney as Vice Convener, we have a new Vice Convener elected by acclaim at Wednesday’s Branch meeting. Our Disabilities Officer Morag Fulton (maybe better known as MammyYes to the Twitterati) became our new Vice Convener, and well deserved as she is a stalwart of the branch and puts in 110% on behalf of the branch, the party and disabled members who she is passionately involved with.
Morag was instrumental at getting Stirling Branch to sign up to the one in five campaign, to encourage more people with disabilities both seen and unseen, into politics across the political spectrum.
Morag could be regularly seen representing us on our stall in Stirling town centre, and regularly attends both party conference and disabled members group campaign events.
As the AGM date has now changed to September, Morag’s tenure as VC will be at least until then when the new annual elections take place.
