“The work that the SSPCA does throughout the Stirling area is vital in safeguarding animal welfare. This includes a fantastic ‘prevention-through-education’ programme, teaching young people the importance of respect for our animal companions and how to be considerate when it comes to their well-being.

“The figures speak for themselves this in terms of the work carried out this year in Stirling alone by the SSPCA. Many people across my constituency will be grateful for their dedication to animal welfare.

“This Scottish Animal Week, I would urge constituents to consider what they can donate to this fantastic charity. For every £1 you donate, 81p is spent directly on animal welfare, 10p is used for further fundraising and promotion, and 9p is spent on important administration.”
